WEATHER YOU'RE SURE TO ENJOY!
Oregon may be known for it's rain, but the mild climate in Myrtle Point and its surrounding communities is ideal for year-round comfort.
The town sits
50' above sea level and boasts an average daily low temperature of 35 degrees and an average high of 79. August is the hottest month with the occasional (one or twice a year) 100 degree day. January is the coldest month in which there may be one or two days of snowfall. The average annual precipitation is 60".
After a day enjoying Oregon's windy and rugged beaches, it's nice to come back to the warmer, clearer weather in Myrtle Point. In fact, many residents moved inland to the Myrtle Point area after owning homes in the Coos Bay/North Bend and Bandon areas. The warmer days and less windy conditions are ideal for growing fruits, vegetables and beautiful flowers.
